The International Panel for Parliamentarians for Freedom of Religion or Belief (IPPFoRB) will host the inaugural IPPFoRB Academy in Oxford, United Kingdom from 16th to 20th September 2018. This highly informative and interactive residential training course draws on parliamentarians from 14 countries and provides capacity building in the field of freedom of religion or belief.
With its aim to educate, the IPPFoRB Academy will equip parliamentarians with the technical knowledge and practical skills to be advocates for freedom of religion or belief in their own context. Drawing on leading academics and high-level guest speakers, the courses are tailored to meet the learning and developmental needs of parliamentarians.
The courses consist of formal lectures as well as more relaxed tutorials and small group work. In addition to learning from leading international experts, participants also benefit from an excellent opportunity to network and learn from fellow peers and to share experiences and best practice.
This year, the Academy is taking place in the relaxed university town of Oxford, UK. In addition to the lectures, parliamentarians will also get the opportunity to discuss real cases in smaller groups.
