What is Freedom of Religion or Belief?

The right to freedom of thought, conscience, religion or belief, often referred to as ‘freedom of religion or belief’ is a fundamental and universal human right guaranteed in Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), Article 18 of the International Covenant for Civil and Political Rights and in other international and regional mechanisms and frameworks.

TOOLS AND PUBLICATIONS

Aiming to strengthen the right to freedom of religion or belief, we regularly develop tools and publications for parliamentarians in the network so that their engagement on freedom of religion or belief is well-informed, meaningful and effective. We tailor our resources to the needs of parliamentarians, which is used in our capacity-building and advocacy activities.
